As we wrap up the book of James, we are reminded about the importance of prayer and life together as brothers and sisters in Christ. Why do we pray? How are we supposed to pray? What does the Bible tell us about prayer? As Christians, how are we supposed to encourage one another? What does it look like to confess your sins to one another and call one another back to the Savior? Join us as we discuss these extremely critical topics in the Christian life.

Trials, tribulations, and trouble. We will all face these things to one degree or another but Jesus promises that we can have peace (John 16:33). In today's passage, James invites us to have patience because Jesus is coming back. Join us as Pastor Dawson explains how we can become more patient people as we trust God with our lives.

In this final week of our "You Asked For It" sermon series, we answer the following questions: 1. If people repent, attend church, serve in church, engage in Bible study, pray, and seek God, will they go to heaven? Can you point me to where this is mentioned in the Bible? 2a. How do you respond to a fellow believer or former believer who tells you they have an issue or a sin in their life that they have prayed about, and begged God to help with for years with no change and no result? I have multiple friends and family members who were once strong believers but no longer have that same faith due to a bitterness associated with this question and when they bring this up to me, I don’t have a good answer. 2b. In Luke 21, Jesus talks to his disciples about the importance of being on guard and not being distracted because many will be deceived. Elsewhere, Jesus says that none of his flock can be taken out of his hand. So, what happens to believers if they become deceived? Can they lose their salvation? 2c. When a believer denies and no longer believes or acknowledges the existence of God, is that "believer" saved for eternity? I think the Bible said that once saved, one remains saved. Is this believer quenching the Holy Spirit, which is an unforgiven sin? 3. When a believer marries a non-believer, will God bless the marriage?

We are continuing our series called, "You Asked For It". The congregation has asked some great questions: 1. I have heard mixed things about performing the sign of the cross on your body. Is that an okay thing to do or not? Should we start prayers with that? 2. The Old Testament talks about not mixing breeds of life together. In today’s world this is commonly done (examples: dog breeding, GMO’s, etc.). Are these things Christians should be wary of, or is this command no longer relevant? 3. In a In a hypothetical case, say you have 2, 3 or even 6 kids, would deciding to use birth control be something that would be trusting God or ourselves, when the Bible in multiple places says that children are a blessing from the Lord? 4. When I die here on earth I go immediately to heaven as a spirit body, is that correct? Then at the return of Christ, I receive my new body is that correct?
